Roadworthy Safety Certificates — Approved Inspection Station Ipswich
Services

Do I need a roadworthy certificate?
There are a few situations in which you’ll need a roadworthy certificate in Queensland. These include:
- Transferring registration to Queensland from another state or territory
- Selling or transferring registration to a new owner
- Re-registering an unregistered vehicle
All vehicles, from cars, passenger vehicles and 4x4s to light commercial vehicles, require a roadworthy certificate when offered for sale (as registration needs to be transferred to the new owner), when transferring registration to Queensland and when being re-registered.
Roadworthy safety inspections are carried out by our fully-certified mechanics and cover all the basics required for the safe operation of a vehicle. This includes the tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, lights, windscreen, seats and body (checking for damage and rust).
When you bring your vehicle to Ipswich Muffler & Mechanical Shop, you can rest assured our mechanics will provide a reliable safety inspection, honestly advise you on what’s required to get your vehicle roadworthy and carry out any repairs professionally using quality parts.
